Fall and Winter View

This is just a quick post showing a similar scene in fall and winter.  I recently “found” this location not too far from Colfax and have revisited it a few times already.  Both images are taken at different focal lengths so they don’ t exactly line up but you get the idea.  The lower angle of autumn/winter light is very helpful for this scene.  Also, there is a power pole and another barn much closer than the shed just outside of the frame to the right.  That explains the tight location of the shed against the right-side of the frame.  We still haven’t received much snow in the Palouse (though ridiculously cold temperatures fell our way earlier this month).  Here are the two photos:
